I am thrilled to be returning to the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) conference this year, happening next weekend in San Jose, California. It's been a couple years since I've been to ASTC, one of my favorite science education conventions. And it's great to have it in our backyard, just a few miles from San Francisco.

I'm speaking on three sessions this year, on topics related to my previous position as head of Digital Learning and in my new position as an instructional designer at Science Action Club. Here's where you can find me at ASTC 2017:

I am excited to do them all, but I really hope we get a strong turnout for the Sunday afternoon session on professional development for science educators. We've got a killer lineup including Jennifer Fee of the Cornell Lab for Ornithology and Saundra Frerichs of Click2SciencePD. I will be sharing all of the things we've learned in the past year of launching three online training experiences for Science Action Club, including our technology choices, what learning activities we integrated into the training, and how we track the outcomes for our audiences.

Check out the ASTC website for the latest updates on the schedule and locations.
